The RHS and Tour de France
Next year we shall be hosting the prestigious Tour de France in Britian. As part of the celebrations the RHS is suggesting that we turn the country yellow with a special planting scheme. What a great idea and good to plan ahead.
See their advice here: rhs.org.uk/RHSyorkshireTDF
I hear that The Lord Mayors parade in London on 9th November will feature cyclists from clubs from the route. Our...

'Scientists are appealing to the public to help track down a giant slug which has been invading Britain from Spain.
The Spanish slug is thought to have arrived...

Delighted with the results!
Dear Jackie
The editor of The English Garden, Tamsin Westhorpe, had recommended Strulch to me when I spoke to her earlier in the year. Both my gardeners have been delighted with the results, hence a second order! We occasionally have the garden open for charity and quite a few visitors have asked about it and we have given them a glowing report!
With all good wishes for successful sales!...

Thanks to the Head Gardener at Harewood House in Yorkshire
We are so pleased when Strulch is well received. The latest fan is the Head Gardener at Harewood House in Yorkshire. Thank you Trevor for your comments . Strulch has been trialled in the kitchen garden and was a great success on the strawberry bed and visitors have been asking about Strulch too.

GARDENERS have been told to prepare for an invasion of slugs after last year’s wet summer provided ideal breeding conditions.
The long-awaited arrival of spring will not only add a flush of colour to gardens, it is also likely to result in an influx of the pests, the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) warned.
The recent freezing weather has kept gardens largely free from slugs, but they are...

Strulch is a Success on an allotment
Asparagus growing in Strulch
I bought Strulch for the strawberry bed at our allotment and decided to give it a go with our brand new asparagus bed since weeding asparagus is notoriously tricky. I planted 10 two-year-old crowns back in April and as you will see from the attached photos, taken in October, they have all thrived in a virtually weed-free environment, thanks to Strulch. It’s great...
