Asparagus growing in Strulch

I bought Strulch for the strawberry bed at our allotment and decided to give it a go with our brand new asparagus bed since weeding asparagus is notoriously tricky. I planted 10 two-year-old crowns back in April and as you will see from the attached photos, taken in October, they have all thrived in a virtually weed-free environment, thanks to Strulch. It’s great with the strawberries too.

We are delighted and plan to extend the Strulch-ing to all our soft fruit next spring.

Many thanks,
