What you have said about Strulch

Hi Jackie, I live in Aberdeen and have been using Strulch now for over 4 years, I have had 2 deliveries of fifty bags and I honestly haven't seen a single weed, our house is 4 years old now but the garden plants and trees are much more advanced than our neighbours, all it needs now is a little top up before winter. I have a house in France, just wish I could get some Strulch over there. Regards Tom |

Dear Jackie, In one year Strulch has transformed our light soil and garden!! We are so thrilled with the quality of flowers& moisture retention. No weeding and standing on the flower bed doesn't leave a footprint!! Well done you and FANTASTIC in only one year. Thank you.
Dear Jackie, Thrilled to hear all your good news & your awards! I am not surprised because Strulch has transformed my garden, never had to weed once last Summer and the light soil has bulked up thereby conserving moisture. In addition no footprints are left when walking over the flower beds. We live in Swaledale 900 feet up and have created a beautiful cottage type garden over the last 5 years. We spread 25 bags of Strulch last year and have recomended it to all our friends. Fantastic stuff!!!
Well done & .all best wishes. Jeremy & Pippa Morrogh-Ryan.

As you can guess from our orders we have used a lot of strulch in the last year. It has been very successful in weed suppression, and seems to have survived our hilly windy sight. Obviously it dissipates a bit with time, but most of it is still there. The blackbirds do annoyingly spread it everywhere, but they do that with even the heaviest bark. We have experimented with it in the veggie garden with success and failure. Some seedlings shrivelled up and died after being mulched with it, some seeds failed to germinate even though we only mulched either side of the row. Others liked it, carrots surprisingly, did...bok choi didn’t! As you warn it may limit or stunt growth a little on very young plants. Collar rot doesn’t seem to have been a problem even when it has ended up against the trunks of shrubs. Do wear gloves if you intend to do a lot of contact work – nothing awful happened, one’s skin just feels a bit dry. But my children have picked up handfuls to throw at each other and shown no adverse reactions with that short contact. I love the fact that I can easily lift the bags but my garden help hates the slowness of spreading it all – perhaps we will invent a shute to attach to the bag so you can shake and go! It really appears to have reduced slug numbers or at least the damage they have done. We would love you to develop strulch for acid plants as we have a lot here and garden on acid clay. Many thanks for a good product.

Dear Jackie,
Congratulations on your awards. You have a great product and deserve it. We came out of farming 8 years ago and converted our farmyard barns into 4 properties 2 of which my husband and his brother would live in and 2 which we rent out as residential lets. As we back on to our own land we wanted to put in gardens that almost merged into the fields. We knew that the gardens in the two we were to rent out would have to be low maintenance and planted accordingly, but the first year made us realise that we needed to try and slow the weeds down, as although the tenants all ‘gushed’ over how they loved gardens, when it came to caring for them it seemed the opposite! I came across your advert for Strulch in the RHS magazine, and it sounded just what we needed, so we purchased enough for all 4 gardens, we soon got the hang of how much to use and it transformed the gardens into very smart areas, I love the way that it works in harmony for the garden too. It also lasts us 2 years, working out economically as well. I love it, the only thing that I find wrong with it, is that my cat sleeps on it in the warm weather and then brings bits of it back into the house!!! That I feel is a small price to pay for the huge benefits of giving us a beautiful low maintenance garden that looks great. Thank you so much, and I do recommend you everyone.
Yours faithfully
Pam
